I wrote down the kindness of my adoptive father Antoninus, the calmness of Epictetus — every quality I admired, so I would never lose sight of who I was trying to become. That practice saved me. Not the throne. The work on myself. You have everything you need to become who you're meant to be. The mentors, the lessons, the books — gather them. Be patient with yourself.
